ABOUT OUR SCHOOL

Ronald W. Reagan/Doral Senior HIgh School began its construction in 2005. The facilities are located on 20 acres and contain approximately 250,000 square feet of classroom, office, and computer lab space. The outdoor facilities include football, softball, baseball and soccer fields, as well as basketball, racquetball, and tennis courts. The facilities also include an 800-seat auditorium, a 700 seat cafeteria, a state-of-the-art Media Center, and an indoor gymnasium.

Our school is an academy-based school. At the present there are three academies: Cambridge Academy, Information and Communications Technology Academy (ICT), Classical Arts Academy. Ninth grade students are enrolled in a leadership course where they will define their career interests and then select one of three academies. They will choose their elective classes from that academy for the remaining three years.

In 2005, the Miami-Dade County Public School Board voted to name the new high school Ronald W. Reagan/Doral Senior High School in honor of our 40th President.

Ronald W. Reagan/Doral Senior High School was officially dedicated on September 22, 2006.
